    Our Story

YOU GOOD? is a practice of care.

It's an invitation to pause, reflect, and engage more honestly. Everything we create is guided by the same purpose to support the everyday work of showing up for ourselves and for each other.

I'm Gabe. A Queens kid for life, even though I'm currently exploring Charlotte, North Carolina and all it has to give. Born in Colombia, raised in Sunnyside, Queens since I was five.

I was raised by a strong, beautiful Colombian woman. My dad was present, but we didn't really build a relationship until I was 27. Seeing the world through my mom's eyes taught me early how to feel, how to listen, and how to stay honest with myself.

Outside the home, I grew up in spaces shaped by men, where emotions were often seen as a weakness. For a long time, I tried to tuck that part of me away. Eventually, I realized it was actually the muscle I needed to build to become my most authentic self.

That kind of honesty hasn't always been easy. It's gotten me in trouble at times. But it's also kept me aligned with the friendships I wanted then and the ones I still want now.

As I've moved through different cities and communities, one thing has stayed the same. Black and Brown men everywhere are carrying a lot, but don't always have the space to talk about it. No matter the zip code, the need for real, honest conversations shows up.

Those experiences led to YOU GOOD? A card deck for people who look like me, move like me, and are ready to go deeper.

My biggest advice? Don't be shy about bringing this game to your friends, even if you're worried you'll be seen as "too emotional." Deeper conversations lead to stronger friendships, and you deserve that at every age.

    Kat Noel

    Co-Founder

    I'm Kat. A Haitian-American New Yorker and first-born daughter.

Conversation has always shaped who I am. I grew up among women who processed out loud, reflected deeply, and showed up for one another with care. That way of being carried into my professional life. I spent years as a journalist and content strategist, listening closely, asking better questions, and telling human stories.

Over time, I began to notice a gap. The men in my life—family members, friends, and romantic partners—often wanted deeper connections with other men, but didn't always have the space or tools to build them.

YOU GOOD? was created from that witnessing. The same curiosity, clarity, and heart that have guided my life and work live inside this brand. YOU GOOD? exists to invite more honesty, stronger connections, and a fuller way of showing up.

    Leonard Friday, Brotherhood Council member

    Leonard Friday

Leonard Friday was born in the Dominican Republic to a Dominican mother and a West Indian father from St. Martin. At the age of ten, Leonard, his biological twin sister, and his mother immigrated to the United States, beginning a formative journey shaped by resilience and self-discovery. Growing up, Leo navigated male-dominated spaces as a queer boy within cultures shaped by traditional heterosexual machismo, an experience that was not easy, but one that deeply informed his emotional awareness and empathy. When he later moved to New York City, he found the freedom to fully step into his identity and transform those lived experiences into something meaningful: a way to connect, contribute, and bring depth to real conversations. That evolution is what led Leo to the YOU GOOD? journey, driven by a genuine belief in creating spaces where men can be vulnerable, emotionally curious, and honest about what they feel.
